This seems like a life-long problem for people. Even a deformity to there bodies.
You can even say a discomfort. I know a friend of mine uses oatmeal in her bath.

My uncle had it so bad when he was little that it would cover his whole body. My memre used to have to put oven mits on his hands to keep him from scratching it.
